A PERSON CENTERED APPROACH

Empathy, Congruence, and Unconditional Positive Regard.
My work focuses on helping clients with self empowerment, finding one's voice, life transitions, decision making, establishing healthy boundaries in their relationships, and goal setting, along with rewriting and owning ones internal narrative rather than be controlled by it. I have also worked with clients struggling with Bipolar, abuse, self-harm,and sexual identity.
ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

Coping skills, reframing, and lessening symptoms.
Perhaps the hardest part of anxiety and depression is the helplessness and lack of control we feel. Together we can work towards mastering your feelings in the moment, change your predictions regarding circumstances, and recategorize how you feel.
LIFE TRANSITIONS
A time for growth.
Transitions and life changes are some of the most challenging moments in our life, even good ones. It is not uncommon to experience anxiety, fear, depression, or sadness, along with excitement and an eagerness to move forward in life. Because of this it can be easy to simply ruminate over the next step without actually taking one. This is more common than we think and sometimes a nudge is all we need to move forward.
RELATIONSHIPS
Universal.
As humans we are all relational beings. Some more than others, but relationships with a romantic partner or our peers present some of our most difficult challenges. They can rejuvenate us and have us on top of the world, tear us down when they end, or cause hurt from the ones we love most. Rarely are they always easy, but they are always worthwhile. However, because it can be hard and takes courage to mend a broken friendship, fit in with our peers, heal a romantic relationship, or move past a finished one we sometimes need guidance and support getting there.
"It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work
and when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings."
Wendell Berry
